Respace Acoustics were contacted by The LookOut for an acoustic solution to their multi-purpose function room located in Hyde Park.
The LookOut is inspired by its natural surroundings, the roof represents the curve of a tree canopy. The building was made with sustainability in mind, it’s use of its natural resources is remarkable, while it also keeps its environmental impact to a minimum and encourages biodiversity.
The function room, however, had extremely bad acoustics due to a high reverberation time which caused an uncomfortable environment for customers who privately hired this space.
Respace Acoustics provided a bespoke acoustic solution by installing bespoke custom fabric ceiling rafts and bespoke acoustic panels. These products reduced the reverberation time making the room sound sonic and acoustically benefited.
Alongside the bespoke acoustic solution, the panels were also custom made complimenting the rooms natural/nature based appeal, while also adding splashes of colour and design.
The complete installation was a success. Respace Acoustics exceeded the customers acoustic requirements and created a room that all private functions can use comfortably.
